It has been reported in HVP Magazine that from April 2014 all gas boiler installations will require a carbon monoxide safety test.
The news comes after the new check was agreed by all boiler manufacturer members of the Heating & Hotwater Industry Council (HHIC). The new procedure will become part of the commissioning checks that take place during installation.
There HHIC are also working towards introducing a similar CO safety check during the annual service too.
